WinRay AE Students meet with Representatives in Augusta [Windham/Raymond Adult Education]

February 29, 2012 - Adult Education Day at the Hall of Flags

Windham Raymond students, Robin Freeman and Sagal Ugass, met with state representatives at the Hall of Flags Day at the Capitol in Augusta.  They discussed the importance of Adult Education as an option for High School Completion, college readiness classes, and business training.  Sagal was even invited to return as a special guest of the Senate!  Thank you both for representing WinRay AE so well!

Literacy Volunteers of Greater Sanford Announces Tutor Trainings [Literacy Volunteers of Greater Sanford]

March 7, 2012 – Literacy Volunteers of Greater Sanford (LVGS) is pleased to announce the next free tutor trainings for new volunteer tutors in Adult Basic Education.

Two different trainings are scheduled.  The first will be on Friday, March 30 and Friday, April 13, from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the LVGS Office at 883 Main Street (the Townhouse Mall), Suite 4, in Sanford.  For more information or to sign up, please call the office at 324-2486. 

The second training will be held on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31, times to be determined.  This one will be held at Marshwood Adult and Community Education, 260 Route 236, in South Berwick and will include some online training.  For more information or to sign up, call 384-5703 or see their website at http://marshwood.maineadulted.org/
