Connecting with Our Community [Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education]

This news page has been developed as a community service to act as a “bulletin board” for our fellow community non-profit organizations. We want to get the word out on their upcoming events and any other information they want to share that would be of interest to our Wells/Ogunquit community members. Organizations interested in posting information can call Cheryl Dearman Mills at 646-4565 or email cmills@wocsd.org.

To find out what’s going on in the organization, you can click on the "Topic link" below for specific information on an event or you can click on the organization's name for a link to their website to find out more general information about the organization.

SNOW DAY? CLASS CANCELLATION? [Bonny Eagle Adult Education]

SNOW DAY?  CLASS CANCELLATION?

Please check the local radio and TV stations for our school closing announcements.

We post them on WCSH-Channel 6, WMTW-Channel 8, WGME-Channel 13 and on WGAN 560 AM.  You may get your school closing information by watching the TV channel, listening to the radio or going to the respective station websites.

WCSH, Channel 6 offers the option to receive a text alert of SAD#6 or Bonny Eagle Adult Education closings sent right to your phone. Just go to this link: http://www.wcsh6.com/weather/resources/text_alert/default.aspx. Follow the set up directions, and if our classes are cancelled, you’ll receive a text message.

Thanks!

Note: We are not affiliated with WCSH in any way. We are providing this information as a service to the community.

Congratulations to Samantha Berry [Gorham Adult Education]

I am excited and proud to announce Samantha Berry's graduation from University of Phoenix with a BS in Business.  She is an inspiration for anyone who is struggling with juggling all things "adult" while working toward a college degree.  It is never easy.  Samantha said in her posting, "Proud moment.  I stuck with school through two pregnancies, and my mom's death, a move to and from Maine and didn't take a break! I am proud of myself but very thankful for those who have helped me along the way."

Samantha became a member of Gorham Adult Education's family in 2003.  She was determined to finish high school while struggling with many challenges in her private life.  And she did it.  In August 2005, she passed the GED and received her Maine High School Diploma.
