ESL student, Mei Chen's story about her journey to the United States [Gorham Adult Education]

I want to share this beautiful story written by Mei Chen, a student at Gorham Adult Education and a new American citizen.  After I read her story, I asked her more about why she came to this country. Like so many immigrants, she followed family members.  She was the last of her family to come to the United States.  Her story about Gaungzhou speaks to the connection that very frequently remains between immigrants and their native country.

Thank you for taking a minute to read Mei's story, Kate Rotroff, Director of Gorham Adult Education
