Sessions are from 8am-12pm.

New students must attend TWO sessions

Interview Dates Set for Fall CNA class at Lewiston Adult Education [Lewiston Adult Education]

       

    People interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant can take steps toward a new job by signing up for interviews and testing for the Fall CNA program at Lewiston Adult Education.

            All students must take the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) exam and interview before they can be considered for the program. They will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. and on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 4 p.m.

The CNA course focuses on nursing theory and application, including basic anatomy and physiology. Once students finish the classroom portion of the course, they will participate in a full-time, two-week clinical experience at local hospitals and nursing homes.

Classes begin on Sept. 13 and are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The program costs $975 with a $145 test fee.

Sr. Theresa Couture Receives Award [Biddeford Adult Education]

 

Our Beloved Sr. Theresa received a recognition June 22nd at the Annual Maine Adult Education Association Conference.  She was awarded a Distinguished Service Award Special Recognition for her years of dedication to Biddeford Adult Education.

54 Quilters went south in a chartered bus to the 39th Maine Quilts show held in Augusta! [Eastern Aroostook Adult and Community Education]

Judy Babbidge (Caribou Quilting instructor), Ruth Bradbury and students organized this day trip to share their passion of quilting together. 

Students travel to the Learning Center from all over the county to attend classes with Judy.  Although all the students were not able to go on this trip, the bus was full.  

Quilting is more than a craft, it's a way of life!!!
