College Next Is Open for Fall Registration [RSU #13 Adult and Community Education]

College Next, the adult education program for college preparation, in now registering students. Classes are one afternoon a week, beginning Wednesday, September 19, and finishing December 19. For the past four years this course has helped students learn what's needed to succeed in college - how to study, finish assignments on time, get financial aid, choose classes and navigate the college world. Successful graduates earn three college credits from the University of Maine at Augusta towards their degree. If desired, students can also register for skill-building classes in mathematics and English scheduled earlier the same day. All instruction is free; the only cost is for books.

This Program is designed for students who are entering college for the first time, or returning to college to finish up a degree. Because class size is small, students receive the support and academic help they need from instructors and fellow students. All classes are held on campus at UMA Rockland Center on Wednesdays for 13 weeks. For more information about the state-funded program or to register, call Peg at 207-691-5751 or email pjung@rsu13.org.
